Capacity of global nuclear reactor final closures 2021
There were ten nuclear reactors shut down globally in 2021. Three reactors were located in Germany, with 4,058 megawatts electrical worth of net capacity in total. This country plans to exit nuclear power by 2030. Another three reactors were located in the UK, Dungeness B1 and B2 and Hunterston B1, each with approximately 500 megawatts electrical of capacity.
