Vinegar production volume in Japan FY 2012-2021
In fiscal year 2021, the production volume of vinegar in Japan amounted to 414 million liters. Vinegar is one of the five basic seasonings used in Japanese cuisine, next to salt, sugar, soy sauce, and miso. Major manufacturers include the Mizkan Holdings, Kewpie Jyozo and Uchibori Vinegar.
