This statistic displays the results of a survey on the share of leading sport organizations represented in the SportAccord Convention World Sport & Business Summit in 2015 that consider the selected components as commonly achieved by hosting a sporting event. The 13th edition of the SportAccord Convention was held in Sochi, Russia, creating a forum for representatives of sport, economy, media, suppliers, art and culture. In 2015, it was found that 48 percent of the representatives believed hosting a sports event achieves tourism industry growth.
