Nuclear energy production in France 2000-2024
In 2024, France produced 361.7 terawatt-hours of nuclear energy, a 40 terawatt-hours increase to the previous year. Nuclear electricity generation in France shrunk in 2022, reaching the smallest value in a few decades. Because of some technical issues, France was forced to temporarily shut down part of its nuclear fleet for safety reasons, and the country's monthly nuclear power production declined by almost 50 percent between January and August 2022.
