This statistic displays the distribution of breweries in the Netherlands in 2016, by province and type. In the province Groningen, nearly 70 percent of the breweries had their own brewery and roughly 30 percent leased a brewery to produce beer. At the other end of the spectrum, the province Noord-Holland had nearly 70 percent brewery leasers, and only 32 percent of the breweries had their own brewery here.
