In 2023, the share of urban population in Mongolia remained nearly unchanged at around 69.09 percent. Still, the share reached its highest value in the observed period in 2023.
The urban population refers to the share of the total population living in urban centers. Each country has their own definition of what constitutes an urban center (based on population size, area, or space between dwellings, among others), therefore international comparisons may be inconsistent.
