In 2022, the expenditure of the National Health System on prescribed medicines delivered in pharmacies in Spain amounted to more than 11.6 billion euros, down from around 11.7 billion euros reported a year earlier. In 2010, the National health system expenditure on prescribed medicines in pharmacies in the country peaked at over 12 billion euros.
