This statistic displays the Black Friday shopping in the Netherlands in 2017, by occasion. When asked for which occasion they shop on Black Friday, roughly 45 percent of the participants answered to buy their Sinterklaas gifts on Black Friday. The share of respondents buying Christmas gifts on Black Friday was even higher, at nearly 50 percent. 30 percent of the respondents also said to buy products for other occasions than Christmas or Sinterklaas.
