Distribution of domestic/imported beer sales in Vínbúðin stores in Iceland 2013-2023

From 2013 to 2019, the share of domestic beer of total beer sales in Vínbúðin stores, which the state-run chain of alcohol stores in Iceland, decreased, whereas the share of imported beers increased. In the following years this trend changed again. As of  2023, domestic beers had a share of 71 percent of the total beer sales in Vínbúðin stores. Imported beers had a share of 29 percent.
