The statistic presents the most popular weekly online activities in Japan as of January 2018, broken down by device. During the measured period, it was found that with 59 percent the majority of the Japanese population used their smartphone to operate search engines on a weekly basis, while 58 percent of internet users in Japan used a computer to do the same thing.
