This statistic shows the main reasons global consumers chose for continuing to purchase luxury products in-store in 2017, by product type. In 2017, the highest share of respondents across all categories chose the need to see and touch the product before purchase, as their main reason for continuing to shop in-store. This reason was chosen by 47 percent of respondents for clothing, shoes or leather goods, by 46 percent for jewelry and watches, and by 39 percent for cosmetics or fragrances.
