This statistic displays the public opinions on whether transgender people hold a special place in society in Japan as of 2017. When asked whether they believed transgender people have a special place in society, only about three percent of the respondents taking part in the Ipsos survey said they strongly agree with the statement. On the other hand, 25 percent of the respondents in Japan reported to strongly disagree.
