In 2024, Chinese consumers spent 504.4 billion yuan in total on luxury goods in the domestic market, down approximately 17 percent from 607.7 billion yuan in 2023. China's luxury market has remained strong over the past decade. Domestic luxury consumption of Chinese consumers has surpassed their overseas luxury consumption since 2020.
