The youth unemployment rate in Greece decreased by 1.9 percentage points (-7.13 percent) in 2024 in comparison to the previous year. Nevertheless, the last two years recorded a significantly higher youth unemployment rate than the preceding years. The youth unemployment rate of a country or region refers to the share of the total workforce aged 15 to 24 that is currently without work, but actively searching for employment. It does not include economically inactive persons such as full-time students or the long-term unemployed.
