From the distribution of the value of payment transactions in Latin America in 2019, nearly 84 percent came from credit transfers. This indicates an increase in comparison to the 81.2 percent registered in the previous year. Meanwhile seven percent of payment transactions resulted from check payments, a decrease from the 8.1 percent reported in 2018.
