Revenue of the movie industry in the Netherlands 2010-2023, by segment

In 2023, the video-on-demand (VoD) segment in the Netherlands generated approximately 1,139 million euros in revenue, while DVD and Blu-Ray sales revenue stood at 17 million euros. That was in high contrast with the scenario a decade earlier. In 2010, VoD revenue amounted to 24 million euros, whereas DVD and Blu-Ray sales and rental altogether generated 339 million euros in revenue. The Netherlands Film Fund for supporting Dutch film productions grew by nearly 20 percent in 2021.
