In 2023, the nominal gross domestic product (GDP) of the wood product manufacturing sector in Canada reached around 13.33 billion Canadian dollars. That made the wood product manufacturing sector the largest subsector within Canada's forestry industry based on GDP, although it was a substantial decrease from approximately 18.6 billion Canadian dollars of GDP in the previous year.
