Between 2022 and 2023, about one out of five Italian adults declared to have received a hypertension diagnosis from their doctors. This statistic highlights regional differences in this figure. As of the survey period, Calabria was the region with the highest prevalence of hypertension, with 22 percent of individuals reporting suffering from high blood pressure.
