
Prevalence of hypercholesterolemia in Italy 2022-2023, by region
Between 2022 and 2023, about 18.3 percent of Italians aged between 18 and 69 years reported suffering from hypercholesterolemia. This statistic highlights regional differences in this figure. As of the survey period, Marche and Veneto were the regions with the highest prevalence of hypercholesterolemia, with 26.6 and 23.8 percent of adults reporting suffering from it, respectively. Apulia was the Italian region with the lowest figure of 10.7 percent.
