This statistic shows the answers to a survey question asking consumers in Belgium on the device usage when buying something from a web shop located in a foreign country in 2016 and 2018. Approximately 75 of the respondents indicated they would use a computer for this purpose, with 13 percent of the respondents using their smartphone.

Based on the number of website visits, Amazon.fr, the French version of Amazon was Belgium's most popular online retailer with roughly 160 million visits in 2017. Chinese web shop Aliexpress had approximately 66 million visits from Belgium. 2ememain.be and 2dehands.be (the same online platform, in respectively French and Dutch) were the most visited online platform with domestic origins.
