The UK bank HSBC led the ranking of annual revenues of a selection of Europe's largest banks in 2023. HSBC reported revenues of around 59.85 billion euros in 2023, closely followed by Banco Santander, with revenues of around 57.42 billion euros. Revenue, which is also sometimes displayed as income, sales or earnings, is the amount of money a company receives during a specific period through the sale of goods and in the case of banks, services.
