Level of EHR implementation in Italy 2018 and 2021, by region

In 2018, the Electronic Health Record (EHR) was not implemented in the same way across the whole Italian territory. The EHR was used in 100 percent of the cases in Lombardy and Tuscany, whereas no clinical data at all was electronically processed in Campania, Calabria and Sicily. By 2021, most regions have completely adopted the use of EHR with some remaining regions lagging behind but with EHR implementation of at least 85%.
