Reasons to buy/borrow art in the Netherlands 2017
The statistic displays the results of a survey of the main reasons to borrow/buy art in the Netherlands in 2017. The survey results show that as of 2017, aesthetic reasons and the enjoyment of artwork were among the main reasons which motivated buyers and collectors in the Netherlands to purchase or borrow artwork. Over 25 percent of survey respondents indicated that they bought or borrowed art for aesthetic reasons, while just over ten percent did so in order to support artists.
