Commercial real estate investment in Europe increased slightly in 2024. In 2023, the total commercial real estate investment volume was 133 billion euros, which increased to 157 billion in 2024. In 2024, the UK headed the ranking as the country with the largest value of commercial real estate investments, amounting to about 50.3 billion euros. Germany followed, with an investment value of 25.9 billion euros.

The European commercial real estate market was estimated at almost 10 trillion U.S. dollars in, with the UK, Germany, and France combined accounting for over half of the total market. One of the many ways to participate in the market is to invest in publicly listed companies. After the UK, Switzerland and Germany, Sweden had the largest market cap of listed real estate companies.
